Ex-leader of the Baltic Vanguard of Russian Resistance Orshulevich detained in Kaliningrad

The former leader of the Baltic Vanguard of Russian Resistance, Alexander Orshulevich, was detained in Kaliningrad, his wife Wanda told Mediazona.

According to her, at about seven o’clock in the morning, law enforcement officers began a search in the apartment, and they put a plastic bag over Orshulevich’s head. Digital equipment confiscated; The nationalist’s wife claims that they were also given cans of paint, stencils with “extremist statements” and a telephone.

Subsequently, Orshulevich was taken away; from a conversation with his mother, it became known that he was suspected under Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code (organization of an extremist community). On May 29, a trial will take place to select a preventive measure. The nationalist’s wife added that he was not allowed to contact his lawyer.

The Baltic Vanguard of Russian Resistance is an unregistered organization, but the prosecutor's office is trying to get it registered as a political organization. At the request of the prosecutor's office, Orshulevich resigned as leader of BARS. Judging by his page on VKontakte, he adheres to monarchist views and advocates renaming Kaliningrad to Koenigsberg.

The BARS website, blocked by Roskomnadzor, is called Zarenreich (“Russian Kingdom”), the organization’s community on VKontakte is also blocked.
