The former chief accountant of the Seventh Studio, Nina Maslyayeva, was charged with embezzlement of 1.2 million rubles. This, according to Interfax, was stated by the investigator at a court session, where the issue of choosing a measure of restraint for her was considered.
The guilt of Maslyayeva, according to the investigator, is confirmed by the testimony of witnesses, including Kirill Serebrennikov.
The investigator stated that Maslyayeva refused to admit her guilt, although she had previously done so. “After the arrest and interrogation, Maslyayeva admitted her guilt, said that she transferred the funds to the heads of the studio,” he said.
The fact that Maslyaeva is ready to plead guilty and make a deal with the investigation was previously said by her lawyer by appointment, Pavel Teplukhin. According to Interfax, she subsequently refused the services of this lawyer.
Update. The court arrested Nina Maslyayeva until July 19. “Maslyaeva is accused of a serious crime, the investigation has presented enough evidence that, being at large, Maslyaeva can hide and threaten witnesses,” Interfax quotes the judge.
