Ex-Buhglatter of the Studio Serebrennikov was arrested

The Presnensky court of Moscow arrested until July 19, 2017 the former chief accountant of the Seventh Studio (founded by the artistic director of the Gogol Center Theater Kirill Serebrennikov) Nina Maslyaeva. It is reported by Interfax .

“The application of the investigation is subject to satisfaction. Maslyaeva is accused of a serious crime, the investigation is provided with enough evidence that, being free, Maslyaev can hide and threaten the witnesses. The court decided to elect in respect of Maslyaeva a preventive measure in the form of detention until July 19, ”the judge said.

Maslyaeva charges about 1.2 million budget funds as part of a group of persons. As the investigator said in court, she did not plead guilty. At the same time, according to him, Maslyaeva’s wine is confirmed by the evidence and testimony of witnesses, including Serebrennikov.

Earlier, Lawyer Maslyaeva Pavel Teplukhin said that she was ready to plead guilty and conclude a deal with the investigation. According to Interfax, an agreement with this lawyer was later terminated.

On May 25, the court sent under house arrest the former general director of the Seventh Studio Yuri Itina. He did not admit his guilt in theft, noting that for three years, for which the theft allegedly passed, he was in Yaroslavl and did not carry out the operational management of the studio.

Maslyaev and Itina were detained after searches on May 23 at Gogol Center, on the same day the search was held in the apartment with Serebrennikov. The Investigative Committee explained that the searches are connected with the case of the theft in 2011-2014 200 million rubles of budget funds allocated to the Seventh Studio. At the same time, according to the court order, the Seventh Studio received 66.5 million rubles from the budget, of which 1.2 million was stolen.

Serebrennikov himself on May 23 was interrogated as a witness in the theft case and released, obliging to re -appear to the investigator. On May 26, in his first message on Facebook, the director called the “monstrous injustice” a search in his apartment and the Gogol Center.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the "fools" of the organizers of the search with Serebrennikov. In turn, the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky emphasized that the investigation in the Gogol Center has nothing to do with creativity: “In this case, we are talking exclusively about technical, financial and accounting affairs.”
