The Russian Liner MS-21, designed for near-and-scale flights, completed the first test flight in Irkutsk. According to the TASS source at the Irkut Corporation, the flight went normally.

In flight, the passenger liner was accompanied by the Yak-130 attack aircraft. Earlier, MS-21 has already completed the testing and running in the runway.
Irkut Corporation said that the flight lasted 30 minutes at an altitude of 1000 meters. During the tests, the plane was tested for stability and handling.
MS-21 should be the first near and medium-sized Russian-made aircraft. In terms of flight range and number of seats, it surpasses the already produced Sukhoi Superjet 100.
The first customer of the new aircraft was Aeroflot, which plans to purchase 50 MS-21. In total, 185 firm contracts were concluded on the new liner, the general portfolio of orders - 285 cars. It is expected that the first cars will be put into operation in 2019.
