The organizers of the Big Book literary award have announced the shortlist, a Gorky correspondent reports from the announcement ceremony.
The short list included Lev Danilkin with the book “Lenin. Pantocrator of solar motes", Victor Pelevin with the novel " The Lamp of Methuselah, or the ultimate battle of the Chekists with the Freemasons ", Alexey Slapovsky and his " Unknown ", Igor Malyshev with "Nomakh", Sergei Samsonov with the book "Falcon Frontier", Shamil Idiatullin and his " The city of Brezhnev ", Mikhail Gigolashvili and " The Secret Year ", Sergei Shargunov and his "Kataev: The Pursuit of Eternal Spring", Andrei Rubanov and " The Patriot ", as well as Alexey Salnikov with the novel " The Petrovs in the Flu and Around It ".
The laureates will be announced on November 30. This year the main prize is three million rubles, the second prize is one and a half million rubles, and the third prize is one million rubles.
The winner of the last season of the “Big Book” was Leonid Yuzefovich with his novel “Winter Road”. Second place and third place were taken by Evgeny Vodolazkin with the book “The Aviator” and Lyudmila Ulitskaya * Recognized as a “foreign agent” with “Jacob’s Ladder,” respectively.
