At the end of searches, the SBU announced that the management of Yandex illegally collected and transferred to Russia the personal data of citizens of the country, including officials, military and law enforcement officers. “According to the SBU,” the report said, “information was transferred to the special services of the Russian Federation for planning, organizing and conducting intelligence, sabotage, information and suburban operations in our country to the detriment of the sovereignty of Ukraine, territorial integrity and immunity.”

The security forces seized servers and documentation that will be sent for examination. In particular, the special services noted, experts "analyze the redirecting of the traffic of Ukrainian users to Russian servers, and also check the coordination of illegal actions from the territory of the Russian Federation."

On May 16, a decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the expansion of sanctions against Russia entered into force. The sanctions list included 1228 individuals and 468 legal entities. Among them was the social networks "VKontakte" and "Odnoklassniki". It was decided to block access to them in Ukraine. Mail.ru Group and Yandex LLC, their subsidiary Ukrainian companies, the developer of dictionaries and programs for recognizing the text of ABBYY and the largest supplier of software for 1C's paperwork, were also saved. Access to their resources should also be stopped. In addition, providers are required to block the sites of the Kaspersky Laboratory and DRWEB, already under sanctions.
