Now the fire is extinguished, but what consequences have left the emissions of gigantic volumes of hydrogen sulfide is unknown.

So that everyone knows: everything is calm in the gap, there is no excess of permissible values ​​of hydrogen sulfide in the air, breathe deeper. And the inhabitants are unhappy. They read out in the instructions to the gas analyzer that the values ​​on it were not set for the residential, but for the working area, there is a standard for hydrogen sulfide ten times higher. That is, the "norm" that the device shows is not the norm at all. And now for this gift, people require no less personal apology for the President of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov.

And what, in fact, is indignant? Well, you do not trust an expensive device, there is always the opportunity, so to speak, to use folk remedies. The exam was handed over four years ago by local schoolchildren in gauze bandages - a simple, reliable method. And from glowing oil, one benefit: the well burned so brightly that the village administration saved in street lighting.

And there is nothing to rally. Moreover, in hundreds of years no folk gatherings or, God forbid, the rallies here do not mention chronicles. Who will believe that 140 people - a third of the local population - went to the local store with posters voluntarily? Not otherwise, "the Englishwoman shits." Moreover, the slogans on the posters flaunted completely anti -state: “We want to live, not survive”, “Nature is more expensive than money”, “Stop crap on our land” ...

An unconscious people claimed that he was suffocating from hydrogen sulfide, it is sick that the true indicators of the composition of the air are hidden, mushrooms and berries became poisonous, oil products are poured in Pechora. And he did not try to look at the situation from the other side at all. Here, for example, recently one of the deputies called the Siberian ulcer Brand Yamal. After all, the oil industry can be just as successfully called the Komi brand. They were even listed in the Guinness Book of Records, when in 1994 the largest oil -oiling in the world on land occurred in the floodplain of the Kolva River (Pechora's Prile). Then the people were also promised that there would be no consequences - a matter of everyday life. Only a year later, the entire livestock of state farm cows had to be handed over to the meat processing plant - all animals feeding on hay prepared in the spills, suffered from a stomach ulcer. And then in the area they recorded an outbreak of oncology.

In the resolution of the rally in Scheliabozh, the people demanded an unprecedented - frosts of any oil production in the floodplain of Pechora and the change of administration of the district center Usinsk - they say that officials serve not the population, but Lukoil.

In addition, the population was solidarized with the inhabitants of the neighboring village - Novikbozh. There, a rally on a similar topic was banned, and when people still gathered, they were dispersed by riot police. Therefore, one of the main requirements of the slogans was freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. The resolution was also supported by the inhabitants of the village of Kushshor - it is even closer to the well. They also demanded that they organize daily monitoring of the state of atmospheric air in the village, medical examination of the population and monitor the state of health for 10 years on the possible effect of hydrogen sulfide and oil combustion products.

In Komi, a revolutionary situation is directly: rallies roll around the villages and villages, the bolder people express more and more political demands. And more and more reproaches to the chief taxpayer of the district - they recall, for example, a story that accompanied the beginning of the development of Lukoil of a neighboring Bayandynsky field. In 2005, the oil workers actually captured the territories of deer pastures, hunting grounds and places of traditional collection of mushrooms and berries, without waiting for the result of public hearings.
