
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) was accused of the management of Yandex of the transfer of personal data of Ukrainian citizens to Russian special services. This is stated in the official statement on the SBU website.
As noted, we are talking about personal data, including occupation, lifestyle, housing, work, leisure, sources and income, about phone numbers, email addresses and accounts in social networks.
According to the SBU, the company, among other things, transferred the data of law enforcement officers, officials and the military, including "participating in the anti -terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine."
“According to the Sat of Ukraine, the information was transmitted to special services of the Russian Federation for planning, organizing and conducting intelligence, sabotage, information and subversive operations in our country to the detriment of the sovereignty of Ukraine, territorial integrity and integrity,” the report said.
During the searches, the SBU employees seized servers and documents from Yandex offices, they will be sent for examination.
Earlier it was reported that the Ukrainian special services conduct searches in the offices of the company in Kiev and Odessa as part of the case of the Stateizer.
On May 16, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko expanded the sanctions against Russia, they were “classmates” and “VKontakte”, Mail.ru Group, Yandex.
