Yevgenia Chudnovets, convicted for reposting, announced her intention to run for governor of the Sverdlovsk region. It is reported by Znak.com.

“I have such a desire, actually. After all, on the one hand, it is so interesting, on the other hand, it is so difficult. But why not? I am very interested in participating,” she said.

In an interview with RBC, Chudnovets confirmed that she wants to compete for the post of governor.

“I have not yet had time to figure out how the constitutional right to be elected works in practice. My global goal is to change the world and the Sverdlovsk region for the better,” the activist said.

She also expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin would support her nomination.

“No wonder he let me out of prison. I think that this is some kind of sign and an incentive for me, ”added Chudnovets.

Yekaterinburg Mayor Yevgeny Roizman and current head of the region Yevgeny Kuyvashev have already announced plans to take part in the election of the governor of the Sverdlovsk region.

Recall that Yevgenia Chudnovets was found guilty under the article “trafficking of pornography with minors” for reposting a video on a social network that bullied a child in the Red Eagles children’s camp. According to Chudnovets, she wanted to pay attention to the situation and understand what had happened. After her release, Chudnovets announced that she intended to deal with the rights of convicted women.
