The court sentenced the beaten Dubki park defender to three years and three months probation

The Koptevsky District Court of Moscow today, May 30, sentenced Dubki Park defender Dmitry Boinov to three years and three months of probation with a probationary period of three and a half years on charges of battery (Part 2 of Article 116 of the Criminal Code) and hooliganism (Part 2 article 213 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on the website Activatica.org. During the trial period, the judge imposed an additional punishment on the activist in the form of a ban on attending public events.

In his last speech, the accused Dmitry Boinov noted that the word “war” was repeatedly used in his case. At the same time, Boinov believes that the story of the Dubki park is not about a war, but about the struggle of residents for their constitutional rights, which in this case are trampled and continue to be trampled on a daily basis.

Earlier, on May 23, a representative of the prosecutor's office asked the court to give Dubki park defender Dmitry Boinov a suspended sentence of three years and six months.

According to investigators, Boinov, who had previously broken his leg while defending the park, used violence against private security companies on May 12, 2016, when residents prevented the delivery of materials to the construction site.
