The verdict of Natalia Sharina

On June 1, at 11:00 in the Meshchansky District Court of Moscow, the verdict will begin the announcement of the ex-director of the library of Ukrainian literature Natalia Sharina, who is falsely accused of extremism and embezzlement. The process is conducted by judge Elena Gudoshnikova.

In the debate of the parties, the prosecutor Lyudmila Balandina requested for the defendant five years conditionally with a five -year trial period. As an additional punishment, Balandin demanded to impose a ban on the ball for three years after the test deadline to occupy positions in state structures and local self -government.

In addition, the prosecutor demanded to recover from the defendant 2.1 million rubles to compensation for the damage allegedly caused by her library.

Hearing on the merits has been continuing on November 2, 2016.

The 59 -year -old ball is charged with paragraph 2 of Article 282 (excitement of hatred or enmity using an official position; as amended, which acted at the time of the incriminated defendant episode, up to 5 years of colony) and part 4 of Article 160 of the Criminal Code (embezzlement in a particularly large amount; up to 10 years). The accused has been under house arrest for more than a year and a half.

Sharina insists on her innocence.
