1962. Execution of Adolf Eichmann

55 years ago, on June 1, 1962, Adolf Eichmann, one of the main Nazi criminals, the direct organizer of the “final solution to the Jewish issue”, was hanged in the prison of the Israeli city of Raml. He was abducted by Mossad in Argentina in 1960 and sentenced by the Israeli court to the death penalty.

Eichmann was the last words of Eichmann: “Long live Germany! Long live Argentina! Long live Austria! My whole life is connected with these three countries, and I will never forget them. I welcome my wife, family and friends. I was obliged to fulfill the rules of war and served my banner. I am ready.”

After hanging, Eichmann’s body was burned, and the ashes were scattered over the Mediterranean Sea outside the territorial waters of Israel.
