1827. Konstantin Pobedonostsev was born

190 years ago, on June 2, 1827, Konstantin Petrovich Pobedonostsev, jurist, chief prosecutor of the Holy Synod and the main ideologist of the reaction in the reign of Alexander III and Nicholas II were born. He argued: “One of the most false political principles is the beginning of democracy, that, unfortunately, the idea that has been established from the time of the French Revolution is that all power comes from the people and has a foundation in the will of the people. From here the theory of parliamentarism expires, which still misleads the mass of the so -called intelligentsia and penetrated, to the misfortune, into Russian crazy heads.”
