At the end of May, in the Malaysian cafe, Haraju-Cube began to serve “unicorn” toasts. The grandiose structure is based on the usual toast on which there is a waffle cup with berry ice cream, decorated with a cloud of cotton wool, multi -colored meringue and marshmallows. It looks really impressive.
The trend for "unicorn" and multi -colored food began in 2016. First, rainbow veligles and donuts in the form of a unicorn appeared on Instagram.
Then, with unicorns, literally everything began to do: coffee, ice cream, toasts, burgers, gin and even noodles ! The Internet was literally obsessed with food, which looks beautiful on Instagram.
In April, “unicorn” coffee appeared even in Starbax. Representatives of the network did not hide that they released a limited drink due to a trend for multi-colored food. The “unicorn” Frappchino became so popular that after the action the bloggers began to release instructions on how to prepare a drink at home.
Some manufacturers began to produce black food and drinks - in contrast to the trend on unicorns. Most often on Instagram you can see black ice cream and black latte. And if ice cream is stained with sesame seeds or food dyes, then coffee with activated carbon (and this is not a joke !).
For those to whom the “unicorn” frappuchino or black latte seem too banal, some establishments began to experiment with the supply of coffee. For example, in the Australian coffee shop Latte is served in a skin from under the avocado. This is called avulatte.
And in Singapore, coffee is poured into a waffle cup. How convenient it is is unknown.
In Mashable, they found another way to serve coffee for fashionistas-in an iPhone box. And they took off this an ironic video.
