On May 30, the organizer of the anti-corruption action on June 12 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Alexander Ivanov, was first summoned to the office by the First Vice-Rector of Yugra State University (USU) and tried to persuade him to refuse to organize the rally for an hour. The rector of the university and an unknown person in civilian clothes joined the conversation. about this Alexander Ivanov wrote in the Vkontakte action group.

Later, two police officers entered the office and already five adult men continued to persuade them to refuse to hold the action:

They said that those who submit an application are paid 3,000 rubles, and the participants in its action are paid 1,500 rubles. He [an unknown person in civilian clothes - approx. ] asked me who paid me, to which I answered honestly that I applied on my own initiative. He didn't believe me. So we talked for about an hour.

In connection with the pressure at the university and on his parents, Alexander Ivanov first launched a vote, and then it was decided to change the organizer of the action. On May 31, a new application was submitted from a new organizer.
