The Khostinsky District Court of Sochi fined for three thousand rubles of a follower of Chinese spiritual practice Falungun Sergey Baldanov under Art. 20.29 Code of Administrative Offenses (mass distribution of extremist materials) and confiscated the book of Lee Hunji "Falun Dapa" from him. On March 1, in the Sochi Park, the FSB officers held operational-search events and seized Arina Kondratenko the book "Falun Dafa", which was given by Baldanov. The treatise of the founder of the Falungun movement Lee Hongzhi Zhuan Falun was banned in 2011 by the Pervomaisky District Court of the Krasnodar Territory on the grounds that the superiority of the adherents of the ideology of Falungun over other people is supposedly promoted. The complaint about this ban was filed in the ECHR.

In 2014, Kondratenko was a witness in the case of the pastor of the Sochi community of Christians "New World" Alexei Kolyasnikov. It was fined 30 thousand rubles in part 2 of Art. 20.2 Administrative Code (holding a public event without submitting a notification in the prescribed manner about its conduct) for reading the Bible in a cafe . The case was considered in the same Khostinsky district court.

In December 2015, the ECHR registered Kolyasnikov’s complaint . It states that Russia violated Article 6 in his regard (the right to a fair trial), 9 (freedom of thought, conscience and religion), 10 (freedom of expression) and 11 (freedom of assembly and associations) of the European Convention.
