People's Artist of Russia Lev Leshchenko performed a new song about the capital's subway, “All Hope for the Metro,” an informal anthem of the metro. It was heard at the capital’s Delovoy Tsentr metro station on the Filyovskaya line, Interfax reports .
Especially for this purpose, a grand piano was lowered onto the station platform, on which composer Alexandra Pakhmutova played. One of those who opened the concert was the first deputy head of the Moscow Metro, Roman Latypov, as well as the former head of the metro, Dmitry Pegov, who now works as the director of passenger transportation of Russian Railways.
Songs by Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov were performed at the concert.
The concert at the station was attended by an orchestra, as well as the choir of the Russian State University for the Humanities.
