Yamaha recalls 400 motorcycles in Russia, which may lose control

Yamaha Motor SI-Ai-ES LLC, which is the official representative of the Yamaha Japanese brand on the Russian market, holds 394 Motorcycles Yamaha: MT-09, MT-09A, MT-09TRA (Tracer), XSR900 (MTN850), implemented from February 2014 to March 2017, reports reports Rosstandart .

The reason for the recall of Yamaha motorcycles is the likelihood that during the production of the steering wheel mount, the paint process was not observed to the surface of the rack, and a threaded fixer was not applied to the part of the hairpin, which is screwed into the steering wheel mount.

"During operation, under the influence of loads, a layer of paint on the lower surface of the steering wheel mount, can be erased and causing a weakening of the tightening of the connection. In this case, the rustle of the steering rack may turn away from vibration and cause control loss at the time of movement," the message said.

The recalled motorcycles will be replaced by the steering wheel attachment. All repair work will be carried out free of charge for owners.

Recall that before that, more than 200 Yamaha motorcycles were responded in July 2016 due to problems with the oil pump and lid of the clutch basket.
