A monument to Felix Dzerzhinsky will be erected in the center of Kirov. Such a proposal was made by a group of FSB veterans. The initiative of the Chekists was almost unanimously approved by deputies of the uniform at the last meeting of the City Duma of Kirov. Only one deputy from the LDPR faction spoke out against. The prominent member of United Russia volunteered to pay for the delivery and installation of Iron Felix, a businessman and philanthropist Valery Korotnov. Representatives of the public organization of victims of political repression protest against the installation of the monument.

Felix Dzerzhinsky - a professional revolutionary and the first Russian Chekist - visited the Vyatka province twice. Here he was carried away by hunting and fishing, bought a boat, sailed around Kama to the nearest city and drove home home to Poland by train.

Veterans of the special services performed: "Dzerzhinsky is an honest Chekist, and we continue his business!" Of the 27 deputies present, one voted against, the three abstained. Meanwhile, in Kirov there are a lot of important matters, problems regarding the daily life of the city and its inhabitants. But, unfortunately, Felix Edmundovich is of much greater interest among our deputies. And in my speech on the Duma, I directly said to everyone: "If Dzerzhinsky was alive, he would have shot half of this hall, or maybe everyone!"

One of those who supported the installation of the monument to Dzerzhinsky is a deputy of the City Duma of Kirov from the United Russia faction Vladimir Zhuravlev :

"And remember such a moment: five million street children were saved precisely thanks to the Dzerzhinsky program. The famous colonies of Makarenko, where all these street children received shelter, food, education. And remember FED - Felix Edmundovich Dzerzhinsky.

Meanwhile, the enlightened West, although he has no less sins, refers to his history with great trepidation. Recall the bloodthirsty revolution in England. Cromwell in the blood flooded all England, but the monument to him stands at the Buckingham Palace, and no one blows this monument. And the French revolution? Marat executed Rabbi, sank throughout France in blood. His monument stands in Paris, no one demolishes. And the monument to the Gover is the founder of the CIA, why does no one demolish him? What, the CIA is always a white and fluffy organization? Dzerzhinsky is the founder of the Cheka-KGB-FSB. His commandments are honesty, high moral qualities, not betrayal - what's wrong? Dzerzhinsky fought inside the party and countries with crooks and thieves, and that now we do not have them?

I would never have voted for the monument to Yurovsky - the killer of the royal family, but Dzerzhinsky in my understanding - a bright person. And I will be the opponent of the demolition of monuments to Lenin, and perhaps even in Russia, monuments to Stalin will soon appear, because Russia has now rally and will restore the symbols of its statehood. And Dzerzhinsky is just one of the symbols of Russian statehood! ”Says Vladimir Zhuravlev, a deputy of the Kirov City Duma.

The decision on the installation of the monument to Dzerzhinsky was supported by the labor groups of the Avitek plant and the Kirov branch of the Gorky Railway, the Bill Brotherhood Public Organization and the Dynamo Sports Society. The monument will decorate the courtyard of the house on Lenin Street (Voznesenskaya), where Dzerzhinsky once conferred with Stalin.
