Athletes with disabilities participate in the World Practical Shooting Championships

Three athletes with disabilities from the USA and Norway are participating on equal terms in the World Practical Carbine Shooting Championship, which is taking place in the Patriot Park near Moscow. They perform the same exercises as the rest of the championship participants. Thus, according to the championship organizers, they do not feel different from others.

Both athletes and organizers note that Patriot Park has created comfortable conditions for people with disabilities. A large amount of work has been done here to create an accessible environment, the championship organizing committee noted. Travel by bus has been organized on routes between championship venues, the Ministry of Defense reports .

The chief judge of the competition, Ola Dalbek, noted the unprecedented level of preparation and organization of the championship. In two months, the World Practical Pistol Shooting Championships will take place in France. “Unfortunately, we do not yet have such a base as in the Russian Patriot Park,” said Alan Joly, Secretary General of the International Confederation of Practical Shooting.

To ensure the safety of athletes and spectators, each shooting gallery of the Multifunctional Fire Center of Patriot Park is equipped with the most modern video surveillance and fire protection equipment.
