The Moscow City Court accepted for consideration one of the seven lawsuits, which disputes the decree of the Moscow authorities on voting under the program of the so -called renovation. This was reported in the community of the Headquarters of the Protection of Muscovites on Facebook.
The consideration of the claim is scheduled for June 9 simultaneously with the second reading of the bill on renovation in the State Duma.
This week another 32 similar claim will be filed in the Moscow City Court, lawyer Daniil Lipin said. The applicants are asked to prohibit voting during the consideration of claims, since it contradicts the constitution.
The day before, the State Duma Committee on Transport and Construction approved the amendments to the second reading of the bill. They, in particular, indicate the right to monetary compensation for homeowners. In addition, the votes of the owners or tenants of apartments who did not take part in the vote, which are now being held by the Moscow authorities, will be distributed in proportion to voted for or against the demolition of the house. From the document they removed a clause prohibiting appealing the decision to evict.
The Moscow authorities, as part of the renovation program, intend to demolish more than 4.5 thousand houses in 85 districts of the city, and they promise residents to relocate to new buildings. The actions of the city hall caused the dissatisfaction of many Muscovites, who in May three times went to rallies with a demand to reject the bill under consideration in the State Duma as violating the constitutional right to private property.
