Roskomnadzor compiled a “white list” of sites and recommended that providers not block them.
According to the FBK consultant Vladislav Zdolnikov in the Telegram channel, this list is allegedly sent on behalf of the head of the Roskomnadzor department in the Vladimir region Vladimir Nikonorov.
The list has more than two thousand addresses, among them the Kremlin’s website, the website of the Russian government, many resources of regional governments, as well as Facebook, Instagram and VKontakte.
The existence of the “White List” of resources also writes “Roskomsvoboda”. Zdolnikov informed vc.ru that he received a letter and a list from several operators. According to the consultant, the newsletter was made not only by the Vladimir department of Roskomnadzor, but also to the management in other regions.
The official representative of Roskomnadzor Vadim Ampelonsky has not yet responded to calls and messages vc.ru.
On the evening of June 7, “Recommendations for Operators of Communications for blocking illegal information on the Internet appeared on the website of the department.” Attention to this was drawn by the Mediazon.
As stated in the statement of Roskomnadzor, “with the independent determination by the operator of the IP address of the prohibited Internet resource, the providers are recommended to check whether popular and socially significant sites and their IP addresses will fall under the blocking.”
In early June, TJournal reported that Roskomnadzor asked the providers to unlock VKontakte and Yandex, who were on the list of the owner of the prohibited resources due to the actions of the owner of the prohibited resources.
Due to the features of the blocking mechanism installed by Roskomnadzor, the administrator of the prohibited site may violate the work of other resources. For the same reason, in June, Russian Telegram users faced the partial inaccessibility of the messenger.
