The administration of Arkhangelsk presented the project, or rather a picture of the project for the improvement of the section of the careless Northern Dvina.

It is proposed to "landscaping a plot near the monument to Admiral Kuznetsov: to build wooden floorings on top of granite steps and parapet. It will be convenient to sit on them during walks, there will be a place for parking bicycles, urns, decorative trees in special flowerpots. ”

From myself, I will say: this is the first adequate decision to improve the embankment of the Northern Dvina. Unlike the previous project, which we examined in detail here , here and here (interestingly, the project was thrown away? And if not, then one with the other is agreed?). Such solutions are popular, implemented in many cities and countries. Purpose: Do not fence monuments, etc., but transform the space and make it convenient. I propose not to stop and in a similar style to convert all this part of the embankment, from Gagarin to Loginov. For it is here that it is poor for improvement.
