In the Moscow office of the human rights movement "Sitting Rus" on the morning of June 8, a search was held. More precisely, inspection under the pre -investigation verification. The inspectors allegedly had information about the theft of the human rights organization of budget funds. In the "Rus of the Sitting" they said that they voluntarily issued the necessary documents, and what thefts we are talking about, they do not know.

The search was carried out by six employees of the Office for Combating Economic Crimes (UBEP) by order of the Moscow Major General of the police Kozlov, Olga Romanova, executive director of Rusi Sitting Radio, told Radio Liberty . Employees of the human rights organization do not exclude that the reason for the search was that they "interfere with the FSINA," says Olga Romanova :

Who might like it if you have a whole large department-FSIN, huge and ferocious, and some small organization works there inside without your permission?

- The OBEP brigade, led by a colonel, terribly pretty, and two witnesses, as they said, came to the office, and the public, who accidentally turned out to be students of the Academy of the Investigative Committee. We were told that they were interested in our accounting documents. Who might like it if you have a whole large department-FSIN, huge and ferocious, and some small organization works there inside without your permission? We work so and will work. And they also wrote a whole concept by how this department should be completely demolished and completely new to build on its ruins. We wrote the concept at the Center for Strategic Development of Alexei Kudrin, in fact, under an official agreement with the Center for Strategic Development. And who might like it? Not only do we give lectures in prisons without permission, arrange the most diverse educational program, legal, financial, how to pay alimony, how to pay pensions, that is, we tell prisoners how to prevent ourselves to deceive, how to defend our rights. We do this through the PMC, and through religious organizations, and through the trustees of the Council. Listen, now even members of the President are not allowed into prison, and we continue to pass. Yes, we are such a partisan group.

-Were there any accusations against you?

- No. Just the colonel and the faces joined him wanted not to even talk about it, but to see financial documentation. Of course, they got it all. We have no budget funds and never were. Neither Russian budget funds, no American budget funds, no European budget funds. I always think: Lord, everyone lives on budgetary funds, everyone receives presidential grants ... By the way, this year we have an application for a presidential grant, we are applying, never received, and now, perhaps, we will not do this just in case. God protects the banned, not a banned convoy.

-Do you somehow associate this with the fact that yesterday Gozman announced the raising of funds, including for “Rus'-sitting Russia”?

- I am associated with anything, and most importantly, associated with our activities, both public, educational, and the activity of writing a concept. Of course, we very much interfere with the FSINA, well, here we interfere with him, probably more, probably to anyone. Well, we still interfere with the ships, but the courts have many "friends" without us.

About two o’clock in the afternoon, the inspection of documents in the office of Rus Sitting ended. The organization coordinator Sergei Sharov-Delone adds: the operatives behaved correctly:

- Formally, this action is called "examination of the premises with voluntary issuance of documents." They asked for some accounting documents, and we said "please", because, again, we have nothing to hide. The Foundation for Assistance to prisoners and their families is absolutely open, and all these funds are checked so many times by the day that there is absolutely open, white, clean and so on there.

- And you can in household details, how did they come, what did they do?

- We came in, said: "We are representatives of the OBEP." Showed a document on the basis of which a pre -investigation check is carried out. Introduced themselves. Everything is very correct. And then they asked: "Could you provide such and such documents?" No autopsy, phones, that “masks-shows” are usually done, there was none of this. They simply asked: “What financial documents do you have in such sections,” and we said: “Please, God's sake.” And they gave them everything.

- They took the documents and left?

- Yes, they made a protocol, of course. We have not a single remark on the protocol, we had a lawyer, and all, no one had, because everything is quite correct and competent.

- And what now do you expect how the events will develop?

-You see, in a good way the case should stall, because the check on the topic of the embezzlement of budget funds, and we expect that it will be found out that there were no budget funds, and this version will fall off. Maybe some other will be born, who knows, but this version should disappear by itself, simply due to the lack of availability. We are quite calm about this, because we know that we are not afraid of anything here. Well, you can look for an iceberg in Sahara, you can make five suckers in sugar, but you will not find it.

According to Olga Romanenko , the coordinator of the Rus Sitting, now all the organization’s employees are going to the office.

- Some people are already on the spot, the rest only go. We have this week very responsible, now we are holding a regional “public defender school” in a sugar tower, this is our joint project with the Sakharov Center, we brought people from all over the country, and here is a search, ”says Romanenko Radio Liberty. - Today, according to the plan, we had to send parcels to the zone according to the plan.

Lawyer Ivan Pavlov searches in the "sitting Russia" directly connects with their human rights activities.

“This is a bell to all of us, not the first and not the last,” Pavlov believes. - But I would like to wait for more complete information, because in fact it does not matter where the operatives came from, and it is important from where the investigator who will conduct the case.

Asmik Novikov from the "Public Verdict" says, a search on the Code of Criminal Procedure is possible only in the framework of an initiated criminal case, and law enforcement officers have no right for everything else.

- On the papers this is called an inspection. He suggests that law enforcement agencies can enter and inspect, it seems like to get up and look around, to evaluate the atmosphere visually, ”Radio Liberty explains Radio Radio. - That is, the fact that the “sitting” Rus provided documents will be issued as a voluntary transmission, not withdrawal. In general, this becomes already undisguised practice: quasi -processing forms, when the security forces find ways to get away from compliance with the Code of Criminal Procedure. Because under the guise of inspection (operational event) a real search and seizure are carried out. And this means that there is no criminal case yet. And this also means that law enforcement agencies confidently use surrogates so as not to constrain themselves by observing guarantees and, which, to untie their hands.

According to Novikova, the operatives "work, simplifying all the conditions."

- All that has been taken away in the “Rus of Sitting” - in fact seized - this is not evidence, but information. And they have yet to be translated as evidence if the criminal case is instituted, - adds Asmik Novikov from the "Public Verdict".

"Sitting Rus'" was founded in 2008. The organization provides assistance to prisoners and their families. "It's time to stop repressions against the most talented and creative Russian citizens. Hands off our future - corrupt judges and security forces should stay in the past," the movement website says.
