Norwegian terrorist Anders Breivik, serving a sentence for the murder of 77 people, officially changed his name to Fjotolf Hansen. This was announced on June 9 by the largest Norwegian tabloid Verdens Gang, citing data from the population register.
Information about Breivik's name change was confirmed by his lawyer Oystein Storrvik. The reason for this decision is unknown to the lawyer.
On June 9, the Supreme Court of Norway rejected an appeal by Breivik, who complained about the violation of his rights in prison. Representatives of the perpetrator said they would appeal to the Supreme Court for Human Rights.
