In the Ramensky district of the Moscow region, a man barricaded himself in a private house this evening. He began shooting at passers-by with a Saiga hunting carbine. At least three people died. A TASS source reported four victims of the shooting.

SOBR soldiers stormed the house with the shooter, but he responded by opening fire on the unit’s employees. In addition, according to TASS, the man threw two grenades at them. At the same time, a RIA Novosti source said that these were explosive packages.

The reason for the shooting could have been a domestic dispute. “Preliminarily, this may be a manifestation of delirium tremens due to alcohol abuse,” added Interfax’s source in the emergency services.
