The bill on the demolition of Moscow Khrushchevs on June 9 was a second reading in the State Duma. More than 120 amendments were included in the document, including those guaranteeing the resettlement of residents of communal apartments in certain apartments that fall into the renovation program, as well as the right of owners of demolished housing for monetary compensation. At the same time, the deputies rejected the amendment on compensation for overhaul contributions, which were already paid by the residents of demolished houses.
The third reading of the bill should take place on June 14. At the same time, until June 15, residents of all 4.5 thousand houses that fell on the preliminary list “for renovation” must vote for or against entering the program.
