
The Meshchansky District Court of Moscow arrested for 10 days the director of the Corruption Fund Roman Rubanov under Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the legal request of the police officer). He himself reported this on Twitter.
Rubanov was one of the applicants of the rally on Sakharov Avenue and came to the place of the canceled action in order to fulfill the obligations of the organizer. According to the police, when Violett Volkov’s lawyer decided to speak from the stage, Rubanov tried to prevent her and turned off the microphone. In addition, the activist was accused of allegedly interfering with people to the rally.
“I am charged with 19.3 because I, as the organizer, did not let Volkov on stage, behaved vulgarly, and generally behaved badly,” Rubanov noted. “They write that I was detained because I did not start a rally. They detained me at 14:30, and the rally starts at 15:00.”
The court decisions had to wait for more than nine hours. According to the head of the legal department of the FBK Ivan Zhdanov, the police twice returned to the police department to correct the detention protocol. As a result, the protocol was rewritten right in the corridor of the court.
The judge agreed to attach to the case a video of the episode with the rewriting of the protocol, as well as “I satisfied many petitions,” Zhdanov noted . However, in the end, the judge found Zhdanov guilty.

On the eve of the action, the initiator of the protests, the leader of the Party of Progress, Alexei Navalny, announced the abolition of the event due to pressure and obstacles from the authorities. For the same time, Zamoskvoretsky District Court arrested Nationalist Politics Vyacheslav Maltsev. All of them were charged with disobedience to the policeman.
