The leader of the Stavropol Youth Yabloko received a year and a half for drug possession

The Leninsky District Court of Stavropol sentenced the leader of the local branch of Youth Yabloko, Kirill Bobro, to one and a half years in a general regime colony, reported Kavkaz . Realities” assistant to the chairman of the court Nikolai Surzha.

The verdict was handed down on June 6, but, according to the publication, it became known only today. He was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code (illegal possession of drugs on a large scale).

“Kirill, for reasons completely unclear to us, agreed to consider the case in a special manner. Much indicates that this was done as a result of pressure from the security forces,” Yabloko reports.

The party believes that the drugs were planted, claiming that Bobro did not allow the security forces into his apartment for about an hour and could have gotten rid of all the prohibited substances during this time. The persecution of the activist in Yabloko is associated with his socio-political activities, in particular the organization of protest mass events.
