On the eve of the action, the founder of the FBK Alexei Navalny announced the abolition of the event due to pressure and obstacles from the authorities. The opposition urged his supporters to go to Tverskaya Street. At the same time, Rubanov, as the applicant of the rally, remained on Sakharov Avenue, where he was detained.
