About one and a half thousand detainees throughout Russia, in Moscow and in St. Petersburg criminal cases have been instituted-these are the results of the anti-corruption action on June 12, organized by politician Alexei Navalny.
Navalny himself, detained in the entrance of his own house before the event, was arrested for 30 days for violation of the rules of public events and disobedience to the police. The Moscow authorities called the action a "provocation" and reported that the police acted "clearly", "consonant", "no questions to them arose." The participants in the action complained that law enforcement officers behaved unreasonably tough, ignored the press cards of journalists and detained random passers-by.

Civil activist Julia Galyamin got into the hospital with a concussion after she was detained and beaten by the police at the Moscow campaign with her husband. Galyamin was then released, she turned to the doctors, a protocol was drawn up against her husband. Now Julia Galyamina is in the Botkin Hospital. This is what she told Radio Liberty:
- I have a concussion. Health is ordinary, as is the case in such situations. The head is spinning, sick. Yesterday we stood with my husband on Pushkinskaya Square. There were students there, they first walked in a circle, shouted slogans, sang songs. Then riot police flew and began to grab everyone. At some point, I could not stand that young people were grabbed, and began to defend them, demand from the police to present documents, explain the rights for which they detained. We stood next to the students so that they were not detained. And some riot police hit me in the face. Apparently, I fell because I don’t remember, but then I found myself lying on the ground, and my husband held me, defended me. Then riot police left, we got up, but they again ran away and detained me and my husband. Then they let me go, and my husband was detained. Then, after a while, I called an ambulance.
ONE ONE OF THE TEARSENT TOMENT WILL WILL AND WILL NOT WILL NOT WILL NOT ONLY
- How does your husband feel now?
- The husband is nothing. He also took off his beatings, and now he is already at work. But he has 20.2, he was detained. I was not detained, or rather, at first they detained, and then released.
- How long will you stay in the hospital? What do the doctors say?
- I don’t know, the doctors have never come up to me. I'm lying here, doctors are not very interested in me. There should be no special consequences, probably, will be treated. But I will lie down a few more days, then I will go out.
Julia Galyamina added that lawyers are already doing the case of her beating.
Detention of Julia Galyamina June 12:
The police officers complained not only during the detentions, but also after the police. For example, it was reported that in one of the Moscow Department of Internal Affairs, a policeman beat the detainee for trying to use the phone:
Among the detainees were representatives of the media. Here's what the photographer and blogger Georgy Maleta told about his detention of Radio. He was detained on Pushkinskaya Square, despite the presence of a press card:
-I take off rallies, promotions, probably the seventh-eight year and, as usual, came to shoot. At three o'clock I was on Pushkinskaya, near the Izvestia building, then left from there to shoot in another place, then returned, they continued to detain people. At some point, as it often happens, the riot police string past me, for some reason stopped and took me first by the left hand ... They, sometimes, push them away so that they do not interfere with them to run, and I thought: you never know, everything is pushed. But he took me and began to unfold to the car carrier, which stood literally in five meters, another or two riot police ran up and began to push me into a car zak. One began to wring his left hand, but not very much, and even said: "Gently hands ..." I say: "I am a journalist, let me show you a press card." And they are: "Now we’ll figure it out ..." We brought them to the car carrier, as usual, with his face against the wall, arms upstairs, legs spread and began to open a backpack with comments: "What do you have?" I say: "Let's show, I will not resist." They watched something there for three seconds in a backpack and already brought up inside the car. I went to the car carrier, there were already more than 20 people, there were no more places. Then some police chief came, I don’t know his rank, I once again showed him a press card, he looked at her, said nothing and closed the door.
I was screwed! The press certificate does not tell them about anything. pic.twitter.com/lmvojfldou

Could just approach a standing person and take him to a car carrier. But they could run after a man, beat with batons and fists
Then they took to the department. I also said there that I was a journalist, showed a certificate, argued with a policeman who said that an editorial task was needed, and I said that it was not necessary, and we did not agree on anything. And further, as is usually the case, at first they sat and waited, nothing happened, then only after an hour with something we were recorded by the time of delivery to the police department and then slowly began to draw up everyone, the detention protocols, then about the administrative offense ... They wrote to the whole article 20.2, participation in the rally. I was issued a copy of the protocol, and it says that I, as part of a group of about 500 people, shouted slogans at about five hours: "Russia without Putin! Shame of power!" And something else. Naturally, I did not do this, because I shot. Well, standard formulations, they apparently wrote to everyone.
- Now the court and administrative case are waiting for you?
- Yes, now there will be a court, and under this article a fine of 10 to 20 thousand rubles. I don’t know, maybe somehow it is possible to prove in court that I didn’t shout anything, that I am a journalist, that I was not a participant in the action. I still do not know how it works, I have to think. A fine is not a disaster, but I do not want to pay money for what you did not.
- Is this your first detention?
- Yes. Previously, I was also detained a couple of times at rallies, but I said that I was a journalist, and I was immediately released from a car carrier. But it was in 2011 and 2012.
- How hard were the detentions this time and how then did police officers behave in relation to people in the police department?
-It was very different. They could simply approach a standing person and take him to a car gut. And they could run after a man, if he ran away, catch him, could beat with batons with fists. They could carry in his hands to the car. In general, they delayed everyone indiscriminately, and those who simply stood, and passers -by. There was a guy who went out of the transition with me in Avtosak and in the department, either to a friend, or to the bar, did not know what was happening, and he was switched. But this was on March 26, and it is not even surprising that they grab anyone. In the ATS in the Schukino area, everything was calm for us. They did not forbid either shoot or use phones. The police were very polite, everything was as peaceful as possible. We were brought water twice, and everyone was transmitted without problems, ”said George Malet.
About 500 people were detained in St. Petersburg on the Marse Field, more than a hundred of them were minors. Among the detainees, for example, the grandson of the writer Boris Strugatsky is Boris. In relation to most people, administrative protocols were drawn up for violation of the procedure for conducting public events and disobedience to the police.
The detention of a 12-year-old girl
Dialogue with a policeman on video:
“Young man, if they take your daughter and take it ...” they tell an OMON employee.
“My daughter will not stand here,” he replies.
- Why suddenly?
- Because it is normal.
The police are breaking through the next bottom. They took a 12 -year -old girl, dragged on a bus (video from there), now echniks are talking with her in the department. pic.twitter.com/bgxwettkb5

The photographer David Frenkel , who was also detained, despite the press card, was told about how people were detained on the Marse Field, Radio Liberty, but after some time they released:
I was grabbed by the arms, by the leg, my legs for some reason raised my head above, so my camera almost hit the ground
-I am a freelance correspondent of Mediazons in St. Petersburg, I had a journalist’s certificate and an editorial task for working at a rally. At some point, I shot a person’s detention on a stone pedestal in the middle of the Marse Field, and after that OMON employees approached me and tried to detain me. I showed them a certificate, we had a skirmish, you can hold me or not, after which they grabbed me under my arms and dragged me into the bus. They threw it on the bus, I began to say that I am a journalist, that I have all the documents with me to let me go. But they told me that they would deal with me in the department, although the head of the department stood nearby and did not take any participation in the discussion of my status. The bus went, I was asked if my data was recorded during the detention, I said not, and then they told me: "Now we are leading you to the corner and let go." And I was really released in five minutes.
And so the 144 article of the UKPO which riot police, of course, will not be attracted. The photographer Frenkel in the hands of the press card and the riot police see it Pic.twitter.com/uz0iw6oiff9

- That is, they did not make any protocol on you?
- No, they didn’t. I didn’t get any injuries, I was simply grabbed by the arms, by the leg, my legs raised for some reason above my head, so that my camera almost hit the ground. I asked me to lower my legs so that I would not break the camera, but they carried me my feet up on the bus.
- And what was the situation after the detentions?
- People were quite tightly detained. Typically, they try to detain girls more loyal, and young men were very tightly held, twisted their hands, strangled, batons were used periodically. And people scattered. Many people left at some point when very hard detention began.
- How then did the police department treat people?
In one department, people were kept without sleep without sleep, without drawing up protocols, did not let them sleep, did not turn off the light and did not draw anything
- I was in several departments of the police, and in general, the conditions of detention are very bad. First of all, people drove for many hours around the city, because the departments were crowded and there were simply nowhere to accept them. For four hours they drove around the city in buses. In some departments, people later contained 20-30 people in very small rooms, impatiently, in some departments until 9 pm did not give food, water, they did not even miss what people brought. In one department, people were kept without sleep without sleep, without drawing up protocols, did not let them sleep, did not turn off the light and did not draw anything out, they simply kept it in such conditions. There was information that the person was beaten in one branch, the PMC came to him, and although people heard screams and sounds of beating in the department, he said that no one beat him, in general, not a very understandable situation. There is also information about the person who called, complained about the hotline of the Investigative Committee, in the 15th section, and he disappeared. That is, after the call, the police brought him out of the common premises, and his fate is unknown.
- According to your observations, there were many injured yesterday?
- There were a lot of detainees. There were many people who accidentally received a club or fist from police officers simply fell under the detention. But I do not think that there are a lot of victims, ”concludes David Frenkel.
Political Gennady Gudko is sure that the tough actions of the police during shares on June 12 in Russian cities are an “installed” installation, the purpose of which is to scare the protesting youth:

- The actions of the police are absolutely redundant and unjustified, and moreover, illegal. The procedure for applying force and special equipment by the police is clearly spelled out in the laws. Nothing that would cause the need to use force in this way in Moscow. Therefore, these actions of the police are exclusively political in nature. Our police turned, at least part of it, into a political police. She shows that we have permitted rallies, but everything that is not allowed will be suppressed with incredible cruelty. There were no other motives, no other reasons for the use of such cruel measures to people who, by and large, did nothing, acted within the framework of the constitutional field, unlike the police, which this constitutional field has long been violated, it is completely clear that the police carry out political tasks in Russia, not police officers. And for her, this political task is to protect the interests of the authorities. So I say all the time: guys, you are not protecting your homeland, but you protect the julier from the people, which plunders this homeland. Therefore, you are not officers, but you are just a political service of the leaders of criminal groups, and you can’t be anything else, you do not support any law and order. In the best case, you look like political waiters who say "what to deign", and in the worst of the hires of criminal groups that steal in black. I think that people who use such fury and special tools do not just have no conscience, and they do not have other moral qualities that are extremely important for any citizen, not to mention officers or police officers. And you have to call these things with their names, it's time to call it their proper names. They commit criminally punishable acts, protecting the power of the crook!
People who use power with such fury, not just lack of conscience, they have no moral qualities at all
- Is this their initiative or an indication that was lowered from above?
- No, it comes from the Kremlin. This is probably discussed at meetings, for sure people are clearly answering the questions of their employees, what to do in such situations, what is in such. And this is an absolutely conscious and consistent police line with the country's political leadership. Young people came out, and they are simply trying to intimidate, score, turn away from this by any means. Therefore, of course, these cruel police measures are used: one by such a thing - ten will think, go out or not to go out next time. This is an obvious and absolutely conscious behavior. These are not individual examples, when someone was carried away somewhere, exceeded authority, not individual cases, but an absolutely clearly directed system of measures and actions aimed at intimidating primarily young people, ”concludes Gennady Gudkov.
The Kremlin said that they do not consider protest actions dangerous, but provocative actions at inconsistent rallies are dangerous for citizens. “In several cities, as you know, in Moscow, unfortunately, provocations still occurred, as the city authorities warned. In this case, representatives of the law enforcement agencies did everything that the law demanded from them to ensure this right and order,” the Interfax quoted Dmitry Peskov as a press secretary of Russia.
The head of the Presidential Council of Human Rights, Mikhail Fedotov also considered the calls of Alexei Navalny to participate in an inconsistent campaign on Tverskaya Street in Moscow instead of a permitted rally on Sakharov Avenue.
“I saw that among those who were detained, there were completely random people, but there were, on the contrary, people who succumbed to provocation and completely consciously came to Tverskaya Street. They did not understand that they were an object of provocation. I mean Mr. Navalny’s behavior,” Fedotova quoted the publication of RBC .
The Commissioner for Human Rights in St. Petersburg, Alexander Shishlov, assigned part of responsibility for mass detentions to power. He stated that "self -removal of authorities from the obligation to promote the realization of the rights of" citizens to peaceful assemblies "actually provokes people with an active civil position on the holding of inconsistent shares, destroys respect for the law, undermines trust in the state."
According to the results of the shares on June 12 in Moscow and in St. Petersburg, criminal cases were instituted about the application of force against the police.
