From June 15 to July 18, the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art in Moscow will host a lecture cycle of sociologist Alexander Bikbov “City. Look from the inside. "

According to the Garage website, the cycle is included in the public program for the exhibition David Ajaye: Form, Mass, Material and is a continuation of the same research project, initiated by Alexander Bikbov, which contains interviews and visual material: Practices of the development of space and mental maps of the city created by adolescents, immigrants and other participants in urban dynamics.

The dialogue with researchers is focused on questions about life styles and social practices in the city, which are characteristic of its different inhabitants; on interactions arising in urban space (residential and public), including atypical and unexpected; On the channels of the spread of knowledge about the "experienced" city, and not just about the designed and planned.

These topics rarely fall into the focus of Russian media and social research, so the cycle will offer participants and listeners new material and generalization.
