The share of truth in this joke is more than we would like. The influence of man on the environment is so great that the geological era in which we live is increasingly called anthropocene -despite the fact that by geological standards, humanity appeared somewhere the day before yesterday.

Burning coal, gas and oil products, cutting down and burning forests, people have already increased the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to record levels and continue to do this. The global climate change is really a threat - both world and Russian climatologists agree with this.

To understand the scale of this threat, you can look at the famous "Doomsday Watch" , which are now at all for two and a half minutes. Immediately after the cooling of the relations of the United States and Russia, which accounts for 90% of world nuclear weapons, and North Korea, the watch guardians recall the ongoing global warming. Moreover, the third world so far, fortunately, has not begun, but the climate is already changing irreversibly - and it will not work to avoid the losses with negotiations on diplomatic channels.

So, the era of changes, in which Chinese folk wisdom does not recommend living, in the 21st century acquired a completely physical measurement: it can be described by degrees, percentage and megatons of emissions into the atmosphere. A peculiar chronicle of this era will become our new section "Variable".

It would seem, where is Kolt with its sections about academic music and theater, and where are greenhouse gases? We see our task in seeing the trees of climatic equations to see the forest of everyday life. Because the most global warming, as you know, threatens not white bears or imperial penguins, but seven - soon nine - billions of people. He threatens drought and floods, typhoons and hurricanes, as recently in Moscow.

Climate change is such a global shift of the entire coordinate system that its consequences can be seen anywhere, from astronomy (capricious ground telescopes, you need a specific climate, dry and cloudless) to nuclear energy (safe from a “greenhouse” point of view, but controversial from others). Together with the climate of the Earth, the way of our life itself changes-at first slowly and imperceptibly, and then 90-meter windmills , similar to Martian ships from the War of the Worlds, grow among the landscapes of the Ulyanovsk region.
