"Mumiy Troll." "I don't remember why"

Mumiy Troll released a new clip “I don’t remember why”, shot by American director Eliot Lee Hiseel , who He worked with Bek, Tom York and Ariel Pink. This video represents a new album of the group - it will be released this year, and it has only a working name so far. Ilya Lagutenko told Colta.ru the first details of this “spontaneous” work.

- Even on the occasion of the release of “pirate copies”, we said that the audience is no longer waiting for new albums now and that it is enough to release single, clips, remixes, ep , etc. But the Mumiy Troll group, after a short time, declares a new album, and even recorded in the “old -fashioned” manner - without producers and to flawers. You locked yourself in a studio with a group for two weeks. Why?

-In the concert composition of MT, there have been great changes over the past few years: in addition to coming to the Sasha DZA group, the guitarist and bass player have changed. And although we all have already debugged “remote entry” technologies and Viber rehearsals, suddenly a long -forgotten feeling came that we lack communication besides performances. The catalyst was the need to record several paths for the movie "Elka-5". Everything was necessary urgently yesterday. Therefore, this “urgently” was done in a couple of days and realized that it was necessary to go to the studio again. They chose the time in February, went for a couple of weeks and left a dozen songs, and I realized that this was no demo. This is the new album.

- Details are very important - what the new album “Mumiy Troll” turned out: what is the name, how many tracks, when the release date, where they recorded, who helped, when there will be a presentation? How many clips will be shot on the album?

- Spontaneous, but quite lively. Absolutely "mummy-three", as it seems to me. The working name of the album is “North -Wright”. This is such a course ... "Go to the SZHV!" - The captain screams! There are three videos in the work, they are quite laborious in embodiment. I hope that during the year we will be able to convey everything to the public.

The career "Mumiy Troll" is devoid of all logic and long -term planning.

“Will there be a duet with Brian Ferri on it, which was once talked about?” What is happening to him?

- The version will not enter the album. The fact is that Brian all summer and autumn on the world round. And the undertaking was such that I sing his song in Russian, and he may be a song from the "sea". So so far everything is in the process. Honestly, I have chosen a song from his last works. It seemed to us that this is more interesting.

- In the song “I don’t remember why” there is a line “But they did not know that their mother would lead us into Zerzana.” What time is it sung about?

- I thought when I wrote that about the recent past. But, apparently, we can already say that the present ...

- In “I don’t remember why” there is a regret about perfect and imperfect actions. Are there such steps in the history of the "Mumiy Troll" that you are regretting about?

- I do not see sense to regret it. The group’s career is devoid of all logic and long -term planning. So everything was both good. It could have been different, but still it will not be different :).

- How did you meet the director of the clip Eliot Lee Hiseel? They say he is an international manner. What kind of person is he? How did work with him take place?

- We have a circle of common close friends. Well, in general, many things coincide in relation to life. I can hardly shed it more than light on him, it is somehow inconvenient for me to retell the vicious ups and downs of my friends. In general, he is a talented man in earnest. And he can very subtly feel the people with whom it works. Otherwise, he does not work with them. In general, he does not really like to shoot clips, but after he heard the song and suddenly retold all the words as he understood (but he does not understand in Russian), I was just amazed, as a person could read my thoughts. And, in general, we convinced each other that I could not imagine another video of this song.

- How does the Mumiy Troll group work with directors? Have you ever married a script and wrote your own?

- Difficult. I usually don't like anything. And I myself am also that screenwriter. It is important for me to trust the director and understand that he understood my song is better than I myself ... I can’t stand the editing later, but the time showed that it is better to insist and do how you need it if you don’t like something. Otherwise, then to suffer all your life.
