© Institute "Strelka"On Friday, June 16, at the Institute of Media, Architecture and Design of Strelka in Moscow, a series of discussions “New Hips” will begin, which will unite Dutch and Russian professionals, researchers and practitioners of urbanism.
The series was invented by Anastasia Smirnova and Alexander Sverdlov, the founders of the SVESMI experimental architectural bureau, and is supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
On June 16, architect Alexander Sverdlov and developer Marcus Fernhaut-the creator of the startup haba Cic RotterDam , the executive director of the Cambridge Innovation Center-will take part in the discussion “Collective Actions: developer VS Architect” .
On June 21 , the discussion “New Life: Industrial Designer VS Sociologist” with the participation of sociologist Viktor Vakhstein and designer Yurgen Bey, among the latest works of which is Studio Makkink & Bey, is experimental development of “Common interests of interests” at the University of Amsterdam.
On August 2 , the discussion “Information Fields: developer VS Economic Geographer” , in which the creator of the Nimbuzz , IT businessman Evert-Japlyugt and Alexei Novikov, the dean of the Higher School of Urbanism, and the candidate of geographical sciences, the head and co-founder of Habidatum , known for the unique research of social networks, will participate.
Each discussion will be preceded by short presentations of recent projects of participants.
