Navalny's supporters arrested in Sochi

In Sochi, the Central District Court arrested several Navalny supporters for participating in the “We Demand Answers” ​​protest.

On June 12, 48 people were detained in Sochi, including a Radio Liberty journalist. The action was not coordinated with the city administration. About 20 people spent the night at the police station. The Caucasian Knot reports this.

• according to Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event) arrested Valery Tuaev (10 days) and Olesya Christenko (7 days);
• according to Art. 20.2 and Art. 19.3 (disobedience to a lawful demand of a police officer) - Ivan Tansky (10 days) and Sergei Loman (10 days).

Also on this day, Irina Barkhatova under Art. 20.2 were fined 20,000 rubles, and German Mandrichenko and Evgeny Makarov under Art. 19.3 - by 1000 and 5000 rubles, respectively.

On June 14, Alexey Bychkov and Vitaly Buchenkov were arrested for 5 days for disobeying a police officer; those who came to support Bychkov and Buchenkov in court were not allowed into the courtroom. The meeting for both lasted 10 minutes.

Also today, another 18-year-old teenager, Stanislav Olshanov, who was detained on June 12, had a trial. He was not arrested because he left the courthouse on his own, but there is no exact information about the court decision against him. As “Voice of Kuban” reported earlier, the police department put pressure on the teenager.

Let us recall that on June 12, in many cities of Russia, including Moscow and the south of the country, rallies were held by supporters of opposition leader Alexei Navalny against corruption in government.

About two thousand people took part in the anti-corruption rally in Krasnodar , the action took place without incident. At the end of the rally, a resolution was drawn up, which demanded the resignation of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev and the admission of Alexei Navalny to the 2018 presidential elections.

In Yeisk, local activists were detained while holding single pickets against corruption. A local history teacher was asked to resign after a conversation between the school principal and the police.
