Secret public calls

The investigation charged the activist Mark Galperin in a criminal case of public calls for extremism. This was reported by Interfax with reference to lawyer Alexei Lipzer.

"Today, my client was charged under Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremist activities committed using the media or the Internet)," Lipzer said. According to him, the prosecution was submitted as part of the case, which was instituted against Halperin last year. The lawyer could not inform any details, referring to the subscription of non-disclosure of the secrets of the investigation.

At present, Halperin is serving administrative arrest. On Tuesday, judge of the Tver District Court of Moscow, Maria Moskalenko, arrested him for 15 days in part 1 of Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the legal order of a police officer). The activist was detained on Tverskaya during a protest campaign on June 12.

Before the trial, Halperin said that on June 15 he was called for interrogation as the accused of calls. The activist noted that earlier he was already interrogated on this case , but as a witness.

On February 7, the police detained Halperin. In the morning they came to the activist home, but he refused to open the door for them. "Unknown people are trying to come to my house. Half an hour they called the doorbell, they did not introduce themselves, now they are still timidly, but they are trying to open the castle," the activist wrote. Half an hour later, Halperin said that the door was “hollowed” and then “saw”. When the police began to hack the door, Halperin jumped out of the second floor. However, in the courtyard he was detained, and then taken for interrogation.

After the interrogation, Halperin was released. Activist’s lawyer Ksenia Kostromina said that Halperin is in the status of a witness. They took a non -disclosure subscription from him. The exact wording that appears in the case was not reported.
