Putin called the right idea to expand the “Far Eastern hectare” program throughout Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin called the idea of ​​extending the “Far Eastern hectare” program to the whole of Russia correct, but noted that it first needs to be worked out in the Far East.

“There is enough suitable land in Russia. There are over 43 million hectares of farmland alone, not used for its intended purpose. These are huge, simply colossal land reserves,” Putin said during the direct line .

At the same time, he emphasized that first it is necessary to work out everything on the “Far Eastern hectare.” “We need to sort out the cadastre. But in general, I think that the person who asks this question is right. We need to put it into circulation, do it very carefully, of course, so that a secondary market for this hectare does not arise,” said head of state (quote from RIA Novosti ).

“We need to work this all out on a hectare in Vladivostok, but the idea is correct,” the president added.

Let us remind you that the “Far Eastern Hectare” program gives every citizen of Russia the right to receive a land plot of up to one hectare in the Far East free of charge. On June 1, 2016, the program came into effect for Far Eastern residents, and from February 1, 2017 - for all Russian citizens.

According to the terms of the program, during the first year the applicant must decide on the type of use of the site, and after three years - declare its development. After five years of free use, the plot can be obtained as a property or long-term lease. During the period of the program, about 93 thousand applications were received, almost 20 thousand land plots have already been transferred for use.

Half of the citizens who took hectares on Sakhalin do not know what to do with them

The Sakhalin region has already concluded 3,922 agreements on “Far Eastern hectares” for the free use of land on a total area of ​​2,831 hectares, thus taking second place in the Far Eastern Federal District, the press service of the regional government reports .

“More land plots (about 5 thousand) were provided to citizens only in the Khabarovsk Territory. Primorye took third place,” the press service notes.

According to her data, in just one year of the Far Eastern Hectare program, the authorized bodies of the Sakhalin region received 11,387 applications (in Primorye - almost 36.7 thousand applications, in Yakutia - almost 18 thousand, in the Khabarovsk Territory - almost 14.3 thousand .).

About 90% of those wishing to take plots on Sakhalin are local residents, and only 10% were representatives of other regions of the country. The greatest demand is for “Far Eastern hectares” in the south of Sakhalin.

At the same time, about half of the recipients of “hectares” on Sakhalin have not yet decided on the type of activity. 36% of land users have already outlined specific goals - to engage in personal farming by building houses on the plots. Another 13.5% decided to build private housing on the received plots, 3% plan to engage in tourism and recreational activities.

As noted in the message, there are more than 50 support measures in place for recipients of “Far Eastern hectares” in the Sakhalin region. Among them are subsidies in the amount of 50% of current leasing payments for agricultural machinery, grants in the amount of 100 thousand rubles for the purchase of potato seeds, vegetable or fodder crops, mineral fertilizers, limestone flour and farm animals.

Let us recall that earlier the presidential envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District made a forecast that less than 10% of recipients would not be able to cope with the development of “Far Eastern hectares”.
