Last year, Red Granite Pictures was accused of using Martin Scorsese Wall with Wall Cryt with DiCaprio in the title $ 100 million from the stolen funds of the Malaysian State Fund 1malasia Development Berhad (1mdb).

Earlier it became known that Red Granite Pictures, which participated in the creation of the film "Wolf with Wall Street", is associated with the 1MDB Foundation, accused of large-scale theft.

The Oscar Brando disappeared before the death of the star of the last tango in Paris in 2004. The keeper of the archive Brando Abra Douglas told reporters that Brando could not sell the award, as this is forbidden by the rules of the American Film Academy. According to Douglas, the actor was looking for a reward for several years. At the same time, there were rumors that he himself threw the Oscar out of the window in a fit of anger.

Oscar Brando surfaced in 2012, when at an auction he bought a dealer from New Jersey Ralph Deluka for about 600 thousand dollars.

Leonardo DiCaprio was questioned by the FBI agents in the 1mdb theft case. No accusations were charged to him. Investigators were interested in the actor’s connections with the Malaysian billionaire Joe Law and a relative of the country's prime minister Risa Aziz, who previously led 1mDB.

Last year, the US Department of Justice filed a lawsuit with a request to arrest property related to 1mDB. According to American prosecutors, from the moment the fund was founded in 2009, approximately $ 3 billion was stolen. At the same time, part of this money was supposedly spent on the purchase of assets in the United States. The lawsuit said that Malaysian officials were involved in criminal activity - theft and money laundering.

According to the Ministry of Justice of the United States, in financial fraud, the stepson of the Prime Minister Malaysia Riza Aziz, who is also the co-founder of Red Granite Pictures, was involved in financial fraud. The press wrote that the Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak spent at least 15 million dollars from 1MDB funds on luxury items.

Earlier, the Government Commission of Malaysia, which checks the activities of the 1mdb government investment fund, found almost $ 700 million in the accounts, which, according to the inspectors, belong to Najib Draga. The investigation identified five trenches to the incnspic accounts of two sources. In 1MDB they refute all the accusations.
