Parnassus nominated Roizman as a candidate for governors of the Sverdlovsk region

The Sverdlovsk regional branch of Parnas unanimously nominated the mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman as a candidate for governors of the region from his party. This is reported by Interfax.

“Roizman may have difficulties with the nomination of Yabloko from the party, so they nominated it from our party,” the Parnassus Parnas Maxim Vernikov functionary explained such a decision. If the nomination from the "apple" breaks, he continued, the mayor of Yekaterinburg will be able to go to the governor's elections from Parnas; If Yabloko will also nominate it, Parnassus will not have his candidate in the elections.

Roizman himself told the Echo of Moscow that the proposals of nominating him came not only from Parnassus, but also from other parties. “I am very grateful to everyone, but with the“ Yabloko ”, we will still try to do everything to the end now,” he remarked. Roizman added that he would prefer to go to the elections by a self -nominee, but the situation in the region does not allow this.

On Saturday, the regional conference "Yabloko", dedicated to the nomination of Roizman to the candidates, fell due to the lack of a quorum . An hour before the start of the event, the leader of the regional department of the party, Yuri Pereverzev, announced in the presence of a representative of the election commission that, together with nine delegates, he left the party in protest against the candidacy "imposed by him." He added that Roizman no longer has such a rating of popularity as he had four years ago when nominated in mayor, and in addition, he “did not establish a relationship” with the Uloko separation and did not present his program.

The founder of the party, who arrived in Yekaterinburg, Grigory Yavlinsky suggested that Pereverzev was subjected to the pressure of the authorities "in one form or another - blackmail, bribery, obligations of one or another type."

As a result, the nomination of Roizman was made to discuss the Central Bureau of the party. According to Interfax, the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 21.

Governor's elections in the Sverdlovsk region will be held on September 10. The Kremlin nominated the current acting on them Governor Evgeny Kuyvashev.
