
The leader of the Volgograd branch of the Human Rights movement Igor Nagavkin, arrested in the fall on charges of attempted theft, became a defendant of the case investigated in Moscow under Article 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). This was reported by the OVD-Info with reference to human rights activist Alexander GUBRUREVA.
In connection with the unification of the two cases, the Politsyk was flocked from the Building of the Volgograd Region in Leninsk to the capital's pre-trial detention center-2 Butyrka in the beginning of April. The New Gazeta reported that on June 16, Cheremushkinsky District Court of Moscow extended Nagavkin for a detentionality in a pre -trial detention center for another two months.
According to the lawyer of the political prisoner Valery Shukhardin, the investigator for a long time pretended not to know about Nagavkin’s arrival at Butyrka. No investigative actions were carried out from the moment of delivery to Moscow with the arrested.
Whether the murder is charged with the human rights activist himself or whether to one of the defendants in the case, the OVD-info does not explain.
Nagavkin was detained on September 30, 2016. The next day, the Dzerzhinsky district court of Volgograd sent him to the pre -trial detention center . The human rights activist was charged with an attempt to steal jewelry. The charge under part 3 of Article 30 - to paragraphs "A", "B" of part 2 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code (attempted theft as part of a group of persons by prior conspiracy with illegal penetration into the premises), taking into account part 3 of Article 66 of the Code (sentencing for an unfinished crime) provides for up to 3 years 9 months of the colony.
Politzek himself does not plead guilty. He states that the case against him was fabricated when he began to expose the drug mafia in power structures.
Nagavkin took up human rights activities, after his brother died in Volgograd in 2005 in the SIZO-1 in Volgograd. On September 23, the Voroshilovsky district court, having examined the appeal of Nagavkin, changed the sentence for a fine of 15 thousand rubles. The regional court on November 29 left the appeal ruling in force.
