© TsSI "Vinzavod"On June 27, in the anniversary cycle “Farewell to Eternal Youth” on the large square of the Center for Contemporary Art “Vinzavod” in Moscow, the ZIP group will present an interactive installation “balance with a small error”.
According to the press service of the Vincavod, it will become the most large-scale street public artists in Russia.
In the center of installation, the column with the monument is an abstract leader who is opposed to the elevator. Anyone will be able to rise on it and become equal to the sculpture of the leader.
Next to the pedestal is the “future”-a fallen column with colored seats, which refers to the 16th column of the Zeus temple in Athens, which fell during the storm in 1852. In the work of the ZIP, the column becomes a folk shop with chairs.
“Winzavod’s space interested us, first of all, by the opportunity to do a great job on the street. - says the participant of the ZIP Stepan Subbotin. -This is a real area: buildings are located around, people gather here, and some life always occurs. In the year of the centenary of the 1917 revolution, we want to explore the topic that has long been present in the history of art and society - the theme of squares and sculptures that are on them. In our work, we are trying to demonstrate the error between reality and the idea of what a revolution is, and what is happening after it, how it is transformed. We want to compare the reality with utopia through the form. ”
The exhibition “Equilibrium with a small error” (curator - Anastasia Shavlokhova) will last until July 31.
