Roshen announced a complete cessation of work at its factory in Lipetsk

The Ukrainian confectionery corporation Roshen, founded by the current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, announced the complete cessation of the work of its factory in Lipetsk, as well as the warehouse for finished products and the Roshen trading house.

"In April, all production lines were mothballed, in May - cold and heat supply systems, in June - a block of treatment facilities, boiler houses and water intakes," the report said.

• Roshen announced the closure of the factory in Lipetsk in January 2017. The report said the decision was made "for economic and political reasons."
• Roshen's property in Russia has been under arrest since 2015 as part of the case of illegal VAT refunds for 180 million rubles. In addition, the Federal Tax Service demands that the Roshen trading house pay 150 million rubles for the misuse of privileges when paying dividends to Ukraine.
• Roshen Corporation was founded by Petro Poroshenko in 1996. After being elected President of Ukraine in 2014, he transferred his stake in the company to an independent trust.
