
The President of the Madrid football club Real Madrid Florentino Perez said that Cristiano Ronaldo could leave the club only if apartments are paid for him in the amount of one billion euros.
“His contract costs one billion euros, if no one can pay such an amount, he will not leave,” the Spanish radio station Onda Cero quotes the Perez.
The President of Real Madrid added that in the course of newspaper rumors about the desire of Ronaldo to leave Spain after the Confederations Cup - 2017, but the last time he personally communicated with the football player after the final match of the Champions League on June 3.
Perez emphasized that at the moment the club did not receive a single proposal for the transfer of Ronaldo.
Earlier, the Portuguese media wrote that the 32-year-old striker told Real Madrid about the desire to leave the club in connection with the charges of non-payment of taxes. According to the investigation, from 2011 to 2014, the Portuguese evaded paying duties in the amount of 14.7 million euros.
Perez refused to discuss the claims of the tax authorities, urging the presumption of innocence.
