Can I get $ 42 million for your startup in four days? Quite. At the end of last week, this was proved by the Russian Sonm project. For this, the company specializing in foggy calculations conducted ICO (Initial Coin Offering - an analogue of the IPO in the cryptocurrency market). The fundraising was launched on June 15, in a few hours the project raised $ 15 million, after a day - $ 32 million, and by June 18 all the so -called tokens (analogue of the company's shares) for a total of $ 42 million were sold.
This is far from a speed record. For example, the new project of the former Mozilla general director Brendan Eiha - Brave browser - raised $ 35 million through the ICO in just 30 seconds. But Sonm set another record: according to the founders of the project, this is the largest ICO in Russia today, and in the world it has entered the top 5. The new tool to attract money allows you to do without complex and expensive Road Show and meetings with venture funds. What does Sonm do and how could he attract attention to himself?
