Recycle Group objects will complement the exposition

Today, June 21, in the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin (Pushrooms) begins the work of the Recycle Group intervention-in the halls of the art of the ancient world, the Middle Ages, as well as among sculptures of the Renaissance of the constant exposition, 16 objects made in various techniques will appear.

According to the YMIA website , the project “Homo Virtualis” was prepared specifically for the Pushkin Museum, it reflected the thoughts of artists about the transformation of the perception of art in the Mass Media era.

The exhibition included sculptures from the previous Recycle Group projects, such as Noah's Ark and Enlightener 12, first shown in 2015 at the Conversion exhibition in a parallel program of the 56th Venetian Biennale of Contemporary Art, as well as new objects using augmented reality, to meet a special application on a mobile mobile device.

“Using augmented reality as a new instrument of perception of art, artists formulate the laws of the new visuality existing at the intersection of the virtual and material worlds. They place such objects in the walls of the classic museum along with samples of ancient and Western European art and thereby enter into a kind of game with the viewer, inviting him to find unusual, and sometimes paradoxical rhymes and roll calls of modernity and classics. ”

The curators of the exhibition are Alexander Danilov, Deputy Head of the Department of Art of Europe and America of the XIX - XX centuries of the Mlime, and Polina Mogilin, the Triumph Gallery.

The Homo Virtualis exhibition will last until August 20.
