The United States introduced the next package of sanctions against 19 individuals and 19 Russian organizations in connection with the actions of Russia in Ukraine. As reported on the website of the US Department of Finance, among the companies distributed restrictive measures, Wagner’s military structure and organizations controlled by businessman Evgeny Prigozhin, as well as Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Sergey Nazarov and the Night Wolf Bike Center in Moscow, included.
The press release states that the Wagner PMC “recruited and sent a soldier” to Eastern Ukraine and “directly or indirectly” is involved in actions that “threaten the world, security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”. The sanctions list also contains Dmitry Utkin, who is called the alleged head of the PMC “Wagner”.
Among the companies associated with Prigozhin, the US Ministry of Finance features Concord-Catering and Concord Management and Consulting, in addition, the sanctions are imposed on a number of transneft subsidiaries.
