The fate of Otto Warmbier, tourist trips to North Korea and Trump's retribution
The student goes on a tourist trip to North Korea. An attempt without permission to remove from the country the propaganda poster turns into an arrest and condemnation to 15 years of hard labor; Soon after the trial, a 20-year-old guy for mysterious reasons flows into a coma, and a year later, when he is returned to his parents, doctors state a vast damage to the brain. Yesterday's death of Otto Warmbier in the hospital in the city of Zincinnati caused a storm of indignation against the North Korean regime - however, many commentators were more likely to be interested in the question of why a safe student from the United States needed to get acquainted with this regime personally.
All scum that protects the bright image of North Korea ...!
Do you know what a "toxic state" is? This is when like this: he touched and a year and a half later died of an incomprehensible brain damage. Not a country, damn it, but through a poisonous jellyfish. But here we at least see the fact of death, and how many people are dying in the DPRK from the actions of the “state security” there.
PS and a separate question: the feasibility of traveling there in principle. However, I would send Levakov to a year to the North Korean “Labor Camps”. Purely on the tour, yes.
So it will be with every normal person who decided to visit the underworld
Why go to a Cachager country to a person who grew up in a free country, only to die. I had a friend, a Korean graduate student, in the early 90s, he sobbed when it was necessary to leave for his homeland, but the whole family remained hostage there, his non -return - there were up to 3 knees inclusive for hard labor, this would mean that his great -grandchildren should be born in this camp. What is the tourism in such a country?
Why go to North Korea at all? No, everything is clear with this beautiful country of the winning chuchha, there is nothing to discuss here, but, it seems, by twenty -three years you need to understand that if you stick your fingers in a socket, you may fuck.
You need to go to North Korea in order to have at least a minimal idea of what North Korea is. To differentiate, not generalizing the "dictatorship" by the matrix, everything is in a row. In order not to talk about North Korea, not having the slightest idea of what it is, what is happening there and why. No idea, except for a set of matrices collected from a certain angle, those who went there. To have the only source that you can trust –– yourself.
Regarding "poke your fingers into a socket" –– journalism (normal journalism) just does this, sticks fingers in a socket. And military medicine too. And any social (and especially socio-political) activity. And any innovation. All the necessary, interesting, useful - solid fingers in the outlet. To consider idiots to all who are engaged in these cases –– the position of Lubyanka, I came across her. "Why is it calm not sitting in place? Che, is there anything to eat? Under Putin, everything is fine. Find a feeder and feed."
I won’t write much about the ability to empathy, but this is one of the main factors that determined modern Western civilization and, by the way, democracy.
So, I am very, very sorry for the bold and curious American who fell into a deadly trouble. More of such guys - - there will be fewer troubles.
You do not represent the degree of complacency and naivety of American students. They were not only born and grew up in an atmosphere of respect for human rights, but their parents grew up in the same situation. Quite from the cannibals weaned.
He did not know. A normal person in the XXI century should not know at all that such a shit happens in the world.
If you had to sip him from childhood, this is not a reason to be proud of and feel smarter than a tortured guy.
Watch the video "Court". I recommend.
They really do not understand what it is.
Russia for them is just one countries with quite legitimate government, and North Korea is just such an atraction that you can buy a ticket and admire dictatorship ...
They do not understand that Russia is not a country, but not a guarded house, but North Korea is a socket with open contacts.
Many are looking unknown to the fact that no one is affordable just like that. Therefore, they go on vacation to the savages. And savages, this is not a zoo with hand animals that can be stroked. Dikari, this is savages.
That guy went to Iraq, putting tower for mobile phones for free - he was caught by the terrorists Al Zarkavi and they cut off his head with a blunt knife - they broadcast on Russian TV. Then another eccentric decided to write reports about the Taliban from the inside and finished that he was scored with stones. So here ...
The Americans, for the most part, are very kind and naive people, like those women who want to marry the main [Donjuana] city, thinking that it will be corrected with her. And this is not so simple. There are no miracles.
I feel sorry for the guy ... They killed for nothing.
A terrible story. For some reason, it seemed to me that this would end. It is quite obvious that even if there were any chances of salvation, the Gestapo from the DPRK did everything so that the guy could not tell what is happening in the torture and camps of this country .
This was done with a foreigner. And what is happening in their gulag - the blood of the dad of the Russian person will not read to read
Conclusions:
1. And those who sent him there could not help but warn tourists about the rigidity of the laws of this country, especially in terms of their propaganda. Nevertheless, the young man did not listen to warnings.
It was about this "his biggest mistake in life" that the poor man spoke in court.
2. It turns out that even the Americans go to North Korea, and in whole groups. We are told about the complete closeness of this country.
3. It goes, despite the difficulties in the relations of the United States and the DPRK, it is possible to release the convicted person for political reasons when the countries are practically at war.
4. Allowed alive without waiting for the death of the guy. In principle, they could be silent. 15 years all the same.
Yes, really, think and draw conclusions yourself.
The kingdom of heaven is a martyr ... Tin soldiers Euna returned the guy in a coma - a gesture, damn, goodwill of any dictatorship ...
This happens in totalitarian states
Having started talking about totalitarian states, commentators logically switched to the Soviet Union and modern Russia.
So that's why he was released! They knew that he would die.
Humanists ...
They brought a person to a death and "liberated".
By the way, Russia is a friend and sponsor of this "humanistic" DPRK country.
Wild and terrible story. I myself was in North Korea, there are these posters on every corner, I can easily imagine a young guy who decided to take such a memory “by joke”. In Soviet times, many did this - they brought home from work any funny "means of visual agitation" and hung, for example, in the toilet. For this unfortunate poster, a piece of paper, the guy paid his life. On the other hand, how does this differ from "10 years without the right to correspondence" for an anecdote, or such nonsense? I studied the archival affairs of the repressed in 1937 of my case and his four brothers. Almost all of them disappeared in the Gulag, only one many years later he returned home. My grandfather’s dear brother was sentenced to execution for espionage, because We found a scrap of the drawing used as a wrapping paper at his house. Everything is the same - life for a piece of paper. The same cannibal regime ...
This American young man-tourist received 15 years of hard labor in the DPRK for stole from the hotel .... propagandon poster. Not surprising, because for such modes there are only two equivalent conditions of stability-terror and propaganda. Remove one, and the regime sprinkles. Doesn't it remind you of anything? Does no other regime also have these supports-hemorrheant and the Russian Guard? Having stole a miserable poster, he encroached on this support one, and not an ordinary cardboard.
In order for the extensive dying of cerebral cortex to occur, like this American boy in fascist North Korea, it is not at all necessary to arrange cruel torture, beat with a stupid object on the head or even plant on some harsh neuroleptics with side effects ...
Most likely, punitive psychiatry was applied to the guy when they could use ordinary insulin in large doses. It is enough for one protracted hypoglycemic coma (in which no one has helped) to turn a person into a “vegetable”, and then everything is easy to write off to his psyche problems ...
Such tortures with insulin (and, the most primitive, really dangerous then), when the dose of insulin is smaller and a person feels only a terrible predominite state, widely used in Soviet punitive psychiatry ... deliberately increasing the dose of insulin, a person was turned into a “vegetable” so that he could never tell anyone about it ...
It is clear that the unfortunate Otto Wormbier became just a bargaining coin in a significant anti-human show process to intimidate the whole world of one crazy fascist power.
But isn't it the same thing now happens in the Russians flying from the coils, Russia?
How many innocent prisoners from Ukraine, Crimea and their native dissenters are sitting in Russian prisons with their cruel torture, lawlessness and punitive psychiatry - only because the "great power" specifically went crazy and went into the dense dead end of its false -limit history, aggression and anti -humanism ...
How is Lenin burns there? "You are going on the case, comrades!" ... yes, it is there, to North Korea
Many, however, were more interested in another question.
There is a crime. Will the punishment follow?
I’m interested in why the world still calmly looks at the existence of such a misunderstanding as North Korea? Why are everyone exclusively "deeply concerned"?
A huge number of commentators, whatever their political views, were expressed about to approximately punish Pyongyang. Most of these comments were unsuitable for quoting - at the present time, such statements fall under the 282nd article, with rare exceptions.
Korean Carthage must be destroyed. And the doctrine of Chuchhe is devoted to eternal condemnation, along with the doctrines of Bolshevism, Nazism and Maoism.
Many commentators are sure that the DPRK has something to be afraid.
I believe that North Korea will cost the death of an American student recently freed from the North Korean imprisonment ..
For Trump and his administration, Otto's death opens the next “possibility” of the attention of the American public from internal relevant topics on the topic of external, to confront with North Korea, for example, and, who knows, they will take advantage of this “opportunity” .. We will find out the other day.
The unfortunate Otto Workbir, tortured by North Korean bandits. Something tells me that Trump will not leave this matter like that. And he will do the right thing. On Smolenskaya Square, for sure, they are already preparing to protect Pyongyang in case of some "unjustified actions of the American side", of course, "violating international law."
And now?! Heading in Pyongyang - and the third world? Korea intentionally provokes, intercepts the initiative. Crap. There is Syria, here is Korea, here is the Donbass. I want another globe already!
An alternative view of the situation is stated on Carnegie.ru Korea Andrei Lankov . He claims that they usually treat the arrested foreigners in the DPRK, and demonstrative arrests are needed mainly in order to achieve a visit to the country of high -ranking Western delegations:
The times when the under investigation was set in luxurious, by North Korean standards, hotels, have passed, but the conditions of their detention are radically different from the conditions of keeping the North Koreans for the better. Foreigners are not sent to ordinary prisons, but are kept in rooms specially arranged for this, where they are treated extremely politely and provide the level of comfort quite acceptable by the standards of Europe. This attitude has a political meaning: from the very beginning it is stipulated that foreigners will be released, and quite soon, and that the stories about the conditions of their prison life will affect the image of the DPRK in Western public opinion.
Of course, the question arises, why such events are being held at all. The goal here is most likely twofold. On the one hand, the DPRK authorities want to remind their guests that they should not explode in the DPRK. However, another is more important - the use of such arrests for the purposes of internal propaganda. Each liberation of the next detained foreigner is accompanied by a visit of a high-ranking person who has to apologize for the real or fictional actions of the released.
Such visits are incredibly widely covered in the local press, which represents them as the next surrender of American imperialists before the power of the DPRK and the wise force of its leaders. From the point of view of a simple North Korets, everything looks like a bow to Kim Jong Iru or Kim Jong -un, asking for condescending and mercy, former US presidents and governors of the American states. It is clear that such a spectacle helps to strengthen the authority of power in the masses.
Andrei Lankov is convinced that the student’s health problems were a surprise for the DPRK and that Pyongyang was completely not interested in such a plot development:
As a result of all these events, the DPRK was in a very unpleasant position. Public opinion will suspect that in whom Warmbier fell as a result of abuse, or even torture. <...> An attempt to repeat the proven technique and gain propaganda glasses turned into a PR catastrophe, which is now the DPRK very inappropriately. The fate of the Warmbier strengthens the idea of the DPRK as a country controlled by a cruel and irrational regime, from which you can expect literally everything - and, accordingly, pours water into the mill who believes that the “preventive” military operation against this regime is not only morally fair, but also strategically rational.
However, not everyone is believed in the fact that Donald Trump will give an order on a military operation.
Trump is not capable of anything else. The question is - this is good, or it remains open open
The fact that Pyongyang bombing may not wait in the near future was indirectly confirmed during the meeting of Trump with Poroshenko. When asked by the journalist whether Trump is going to respond to the death of the student, the US president answered as streamlined as possible. The meeting is quoted in its own translation (and comments) the telegram channel Politjastik :
Question from the audience: What will be the reaction to the death of Otto Wormbi?
President Trump: What happened to Otto is a shame. This is a complete shame that happened to Otto. It is impossible to allow this to happen ever. And, frankly, if he had been returned home earlier, I think that the result would be completely different. On the same day, he had to return him home. The result would be completely different. But what happened to Otto is shame. And I spoke with his family. His family is incredibly strong that they survived. But he had to be returned home a long time ago.
Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
...
What is it all?
Many are convinced that the problem of North Korea is not so easy to solve outside interference.
I think that the whole world outside Russia and China would greet the end of the DPRK. Alas, things are really very difficult. The restoration of the territory of the GDR compared to this is a kindergarten. Millions of hungry, uneducated people who know absolutely nothing about the modern world. What, really, will do or make Trump ??
Do you really think that it is enough to remove Kim, and the people will feel free? Everything is much worse there. By the way, if Putin suddenly bursts with anger tomorrow, the Russians will sob: "Who did you leave us to, father’s father!"
At the slightest military operations in relation to North Korea, all of our people who are in DMZ, as well as South Korea, will die. North too.
The Kommersant experts interviewed what the Washington reaction will be: most of them are waiting for the tightening of sanctions by the United States, and also believe that the incident significantly worsened the prospects for establishing relations between South and North Korea. The newspaper quotes Konstantin Asmolov, a leading researcher at the Korean Research Center for the IDV RAS:
I expect the Wormbier case will be a kind of Magnitsky’s work for Russia. Based on this case, most likely, a new package of sanctions will be prepared. Light on the incident can shed a detailed medical report of the DPRK about how and from what the Wormbier was treated, but I do not exclude that Pyongyang can behave invalidly and refuse to conduct negotiations on this score. Then a moral victory will be automatically awarded the other side.
