Human rights activist Dinar Idrisov's arrest term increased by two days

The Dzerzhinsky Court of St. Petersburg today, June 22, decided to increase the period of administrative arrest of human rights activist Dinar Idrisov by two days due to the time he spent in the hospital. Marla Mai reported this on its Facebook page.

According to her, the court hearing took place in a few minutes behind closed doors, in the absence of Idrisov himself and his lawyer.

The day before, Idrisov was returned to the St. Petersburg special detention center on Zakharyevskaya Street from the hospital, where he was hospitalized after refusing to take medication.

Idrisov was detained on June 13 in the same Dzerzhinsky court. First, a protocol was drawn up against him under Art. 17.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobeying the order of a judge or bailiff), was released from the court, but then dragged back into the building. Someone threw a bottle at him, which he waved away with his hand, causing it to fly back towards the courthouse - after which the police ran out and, calling for help from riot police, detained Idrisov again.

On June 15, the Dzerzhinsky District Court of St. Petersburg arrested Idrisov for 14 days under Article 20.1 of the Administrative Code (petty hooliganism). The meeting was held behind closed doors.

On June 16, it became known that from the moment of his arrest Idrisov went on a dry hunger strike demanding the resignation of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of St. Petersburg for violating the law during the action on the Champ de Mars on June 12.
