The other day I saw a seagull sitting on the top of the stone in the middle of the seething river. The stone was like an iceberg, only a small gray wash was visible to the eye, the rest was hidden by water. And the bird occupied almost the entire superficial piece with its paws. A seagull on a stone in the middle of the water is not surprising. But a seagull on a stagnation among a stormy course is beautiful, and it looked almost like a special effect. And even more amazing - this seagull was dozing. Passions are boiling around it, water freaks out and spitting, the flows are about to absorb its small miracle of aerodynamics and drown in a fast course, it has only a couple of centimeters of stability, a piece of stone under thin paws. And she is asleep. Serene. From time to time, opening one eye, like checking whether the fish is floating in the mouth.
I considered this seagull to know Zen. Around you, at least a flood, close your eyes and meditate. If there is at least a centimeter of stable soil under your feet, you can be saved. And even get a buzz from life. Be in the stream and at the rest at the same time. Feel the course of time and stop it. Do not try to stop the flow, but stop at the very epicenter.
Thank you, a seagull named Buddha. You never know where you will get a life lesson. And where next time you will be thrown a picture with keys for this daily fascinating quest.
